Born to Be Wild

Born To Be Wild Nature Center (BTBW) is a 501(c)3 non-profit nature center and wildlife rehabilitation facility, located in Bradford, RI.  Specializing in Birds of Prey, BTBW has rehabilitated over 17 different species of hawks, owls and falcons. Founded in 1998 and incorporated in 2000, BTBW is dedicated to preserving a healthy and viable popoulation of Birds of Prey and other species in their natural habitats through rehabilitation and public education.

Since its inception, BTBW has cared for many different types of wildlife patients. Many of these animals suffer from injuries caused either directly or indirectly by man. They have collided with our vehicles, windows, powerlines and fences. They have been caught in traps, barbed wire, netting and fishing lines. Many have had their homes destroyed by human developments. At BTBW, we strive to provide the best medical care while we prepare these animals for a successful return to their natural habitats. BTBW holds both State and Federal permits which allow us to conduct these activities under the guidelines set forth by the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service.

Since we are a non-profit organization, we rely on support like yours to help us acquire the supplies needed to help the animals in need.  Soon there will be a link available where you can donate money via PayPal to help us.  The animals we care for will certainly benefit from it.

Also, feel free to explore the rest of the website.  The events calendar will show you the most up to date schedule of lectures that will be had.  The pictures section displays some of the wonderful animals that we have worked with.
