Education

Here at Born To Be Wild Nature Center, we believe firmly in educating others on the wildlife that surrounds us all.  Our main goals are to make communities aware of better ways to protect and help wildlife.  To do this, we volunteer our time to do lectures around Rhode Island.  To find the next lecture available near you, simply go to the Calendar section of this site, under the Welcome tab.

Above is a picture of one of the residents that happen to live with us.  This Great Horned owl, named Gunther, is non-releasable due to his blindness caused by flying into the side of a truck in 2005.  After he was nursed back to health, as far as we could, he has been accompanying us to these lectures.
