Mission Statement

"To promote understanding, appreciation and enjoyment of the environment by providing diverse educational, experiential and recreational opportunities to the people of Westerly and surrounding communities."


At BTBW Nature Center we:

• Rehabilitate wildlife.
• Rescue and release all viable wildlife.
• Educate the public in matters concerning wildlife. 

We do this by:

• Creating a sanctuary in which animals can recover from trama.
• Creating a home for animals which are too severely injured and who can't be released.
• Setting up lectures which are open to the public.
